just stumbled across a ‘pro ana’ pregnancy blog going into detail about how they’re actively starving themselves even though they’re very much pregnant.
‘I’m fasting this week’, ‘I’ve only had veggies & fruit for x amount of time’, ‘I ate a piece of cheese so the doctor stops getting mad about my weight loss.’
A PIECE OF CHEESE IS NOT GOING TO MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT, NOR IS IT ENOUGH TO PROVIDE NUTRITION FOR THAT BABY.
It’s absolutely selfish & disgusting to not even TRY to eat better during pregnancy. I can’t count the number of women I’ve seen who will force themselves into recovery for AT LEAST those nine months. It sucks, but it’s possible.
